The workshop is suitable for experienced practitioners including former Waterside students who practice regularly.

Meeting in the morning at the Royal Botanical Gardens, students will learn techniques to draw and produce images of the observed flora before returning to the studio. Armed with a wealth of information, sketches, rubbings and inspiration, they will explore design options, techniques and tooling required to forge a botanically inspired sculpture. The next 2 days, students will design and forge their own interpretation of a botanical form while being guided and supported by our excellent guest teacher Pete Mattila.

Minimum age for students is 15.
