FREE Metal Working/Forging Workshop: Sat 8 Nov - FULL!

THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN FILLED!As part of the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment being undertaken by Jack and Steve at Victoria University, the studio is offering a free metal working/forging workshop to any former student from a Waterside course. The workshop will be held on Saturday 8th November between 9am-12pm. During this period workshop attendees will particpate in a combination of theory and practical sessions that will cover the following general topics:

  • Calculating material needs for forging.
  • Overview and use of metal cutting equipment.
  • Introduction to the use of a gas forge.
  • Practical hand forging exercise covering a range of skills including striking, using top and bottom fullers, a flatter and upsetting.
